He's commendably doing what he can to help make the world a better place, and Ian Somerhalder spent Saturday night (April) playing host at The Influence Affair party in Bel Air, California.
Joined by his lovely co-star girlfriend Nina Dobrev, the Damon Salvatore stud suited up for the benefit raising funds for The Ian Somerhalder Foundation - which is his namesake organization focused on crusading for a greener future.
With the night featuring sounds by DJ Josh LeCash and a performance by Capital Cities, Ian's lady Miss Dobrev did her best to draw support for her man, as she tweeted earlier in the week, “Join us and make a difference… See you there!”
The weekend appearance comes as fans of Ian and Nina can look forward to an all-new episode of "The Vampire Diaries" airing this Thursday, April 26th at 8/7c on The CW.
With an extended promo found below, the installment titled "Do Not Go Gentle" has a synopsis reading as follows: "Alaric finds an unexpected ally to guide him on his dangerous new path, while Damon and Meredith (guest star Torrey Devitto) try to figure out what their next move should be. At the school's 1920s Decade Dance, Bonnie asks Jamie (guest star Robert Ri'chard) to go with her and, at Caroline's suggestion, Elena asks Stefan to be her date. Caroline is pleasantly surprised when Tyler shows up at the dance determined to sweep her off her feet, but Klaus does his best to come between them. The dance takes a deadly turn when Damon and Stefan realize they need the help of Matt, Jeremy and especially Bonnie to undo a spell that could prove devastating for everyone."
