After 14 seasons on air, ABC’s hit show “Dancing with the Stars” is trying out a new elimination method - a “dance duel".
The two couples in jeopardy of elimination were lined up to have a dance-off side by side on the ballroom floor before the judges sent one of the couples home.
And this week’s first new “dance duel" elimination ended up seeing Gavin DeGraw & Karina Smirnoff versus Jaleel White & Kym Johnson.
After an intense head to head challenge, the judges voted in favor of giving Jaleel and Kym another shot at the mirror ball trophy, which meant DeGraw and Smirnoff were sent home packing.
